Common.
Open woodland, scrub, orchards, gardens and hedgerows.
Most abundant member of the subgroup.

Similar to several other Coleophorid species. Examination of the genitalia is required.

Leaf-mine: early September, then April to late May.

Case: A good quality photo or specimen of the case and plant/pabulum and gen. det. of bred moth is required.
