Rare.
Frequents salt-marshes, river-banks and damp areas where Sea Rush (Juncus maritimus) can be found.
Similar to many other whitish species of Coleophora, and examination of the genitalia is required.
Leaf-mine: September - May
The larva makes a case from the seedhead and the case may be seen as it moves around the flower head.

The only recent records are from Holme in 2001 (J. Clifton) Gun Hill in 2020 (J. Symonds) and Holme in 2021 (T. De Clermont)
