Status Local. Heathland, scrub and open woodland where the foodplant occurs. Best identified by the dark spots on the forewing leading edge and darker cilia.
Leaf-mine: Larva mines and folds leaves of Birch, subsequently living within a leaf-fold. (Compare with C.betulicola, which rolls the leaf transversally) | Mine: Moth needs to be reared and, in some cases, possibly dissected. | |
