Norfolk status
Rare.
Wet woodland, waste ground, open areas and shady situations.
Adults hibernating over winter until the following spring.
Larvae feed on willhowerbs causing a distinctive gall.

One of three species, Mompha divisella, M. jurassicella, M. bradleyi that are superficially similar and require genitalia dissection.
