Norfolk status Rare. Inhabits chalk or limestone areas where the foodplant occurs.
Only recorded at one site in West Norfolk, where first listed by Barrett in 1889. The species is still present at the site, but only a handful of records in recent years.
The distinctively-marked larvae feed on Marjoram, rolling or folding a leaf during spring and early summer. The larva hides in the leaf emerging to feed at night.
