Norfolk status
Scarce.

Can be identified by the small black dot at the base of each forewing.

Thought to overwinter in thatch. Larvae feed in the flowers and seeds of Common Mallow and Hollyhock during June-July.

First modern-day records at Great Yarmouth in May 2020 (I. Mills, 07/05/2020 Gen. Det. Male D. Hipperson)

Two pre-1900 Norfolk records listed by Barrett.
Several recent records from Suffolk.
