Norfolk status
Open ground, hillsides, waste ground and roadside verges where foodplant found.

It can be confused with other species such as A. propinquella, and is usually best identified by dissection.

A distinctive form also occurs. f. rhodochrella has darker head and thorax, and more distinct wing markings.
