Norfolk status Local in birch woodland. Orange head with bronzy forewing and silver and purple fascia.
Larvae form a distinctive mine which starts off with a brownish blotch and then becomes a gallery completely filled with greenish-brown frass. Leaf-mine: June - July. Sept - Oct.
