Norfolk status Local, widespread. Distinctive large Coleophoridae. Adults on the wing by day in the afternoon as well as after dark. Larva feeds on Wild Thyme, living and feeding in a movable case.
Similar to Coleophora tricolor, antennae white on upper-side and only barred/ringed on the underside, also lacking the long brown basal tuft seen in C. tricolor.
