Norfolk status
Confused with several other greyish brown Coleophorid species. Examination of the genitalia is required.

The larva produces a distinctive feeding pattern, creating small holes in the leaves of the foodplant, evergreen oak (Quercus spp.). The larval case differs from that of C. lutipennella in having no leaf material at the back end of the case.
