Rare species, well recorded in recent years. Initially found in the Brecks, with recent records from east Norfolk.

A new species for Britain, discovered breeding in Suffolk in 2002.

First Norfolk records from Thetford 2003 and 2004 (A. Musgrove), Cranwich and Downham Market in 2013, with several records in recent years.

New for VC27 in 2018 at Repps-with-Bastwick (S. Wright)

Leaf-mine: Sept- Nov. Populus x canadensis Italian Poplar and P.nigra Black Poplar in Europe. Mine in a green island on fallen leaves in the Autumn. The green island always emanates from the petiole.
