Norfolk status
Formerly a rare pest species.

Scattered records from across Norfolk. Once abundant in corn and seed warehouses, it became quite rare up until the 2000s, and has since been regularly recorded with widespread records across Norfolk.

Norfolk records of infested stored bird food, adults and pupal cases found in bought rice. In 2009 a story made the papers of an infestation of a house in Great Yarmouth via a contaminated packet of rice pudding!
