Woodland and open habitats, heathland, acid grassland.
Adults fly early morning and late afternoon till dusk.

One of the Nematopogon genus of three similar looking 'Long-horn' moths found in Norfolk.

Small size, early flight period, and a hint of a discal spot should help identify.
