Norfolk status
Rare.
Dry soils, sand-dunes and waste ground.
Adults fly during the day, visiting flowers of the foodplant.

First found in the UK at Hockwold in 1977, though not identified until 1980. It was added to the British list in 1980 when found to be well established and locally common at Holkham in Norfolk.
In 1980 Many adult moths were seen, up to 6 adults per flower feeding in afternoon sunshine on Rosebay Willowherb along the dunes at Holkham. Extensive signs of larval damage also easily seen.

After a gap of 21 years, two specimens found in two hours of searching at Holkham in 2014 (A. Duff, S. Joyner. 07/08/14)

Discovered in Yorkshire (2001) and larvae found at Tunstall Common, Suffolk (A Prichard, 20.vi.2009).
