Norfolk status
Scarce.
Known only from East Anglia where it was first discovered commonly in larch plantations in the Thetford district and at East Harling in Norfolk, 1946.

Very few Norfolk records, most recently of Galls found at Grime's Graves (S. Wright, 2016) and an adult moths at Great Ellingham and Reepham in 2021.

The larvae feed inside the twigs of Larix decidua resulting in the formation of galls, commonly at a joint of a branch or trunk.
