Local.
Pronounced emargination of the costa of the forewing characteristic although variable in depth.
Several forms with variable coloration.

Species has recently been split into Acleris emargana and Acleris effractana which is more of a northern species.

Please retain specimens for determination if you think you may have Acleris effractana.
