Status Local. Stated as our most common salt-marsh Gelechid (MBGBI Vol 2 p175).
Most saltmarsh inhabiting Scrobipalpa species S. salicorniae, S. obsoletella, S. instabilella, S. samadensis, S. suaedella are extremely similar and cannot be identified without genitalia dissection.
