Status Rare. A fairly small well-marked gelechiid with greyish-ochreous forewing ground-colour, showing short blackish streaks to the centre of the forewing and towards the sub-terminal areas.
An adventive species, first recorded in Essex in 1988, now established throughout south-eastern England, in parks and gardens, through accidental introduction on coniferous plants from southern Europe. Expanding its range due to the common use of cypresses in gardens.
