One of a number of salt-marsh Coleophora species that require dissection to identify.

The larvae feed within the seed capsules of Saltmarsh Rush (Juncus gerardii), the distinctive larval case is unmistakable. Please note that larval feeding holes of C. glaucicolella, another species often abundant on saltings, are very similar.

Determination by Genitalia Examination (gen. det.) Required

Case: A good quality photo or specimen of the case and plant/pabulum and gen. det. of bred moth is required.
