Status Local. Predominantly an urban species, occurring where Laburnum is plentiful.
One of two species of Leucoptera found in Norfolk that are very similar. L. spartifoliella has yellow/ochreous scales around the tornal spot, L. laburnella yellow/ochreous scales only towards the costa. This can be hard to determine and genitalia dissection is recommended.
