Status
Scarce.
Uncommon Norfolk resident in the Brecks and possible migrant.
Distinctive. Rests with wings pressed against tree or wall similar to geometrid moths.
Overwinters as a Larva feeding on fungi on rotten wood, particularly birches and pines. Aug-June.
Wooded areas, usually damp and boggy. Occasionally in rural gardens.
Very few Norfolk records. Known mostly from the Brecks including records from Caston, Lynford (2007). Recorded also at Hoveton (2007 - migrant?) and more recently at Weeting and West Walton (2011). Several more recent East Norfolk VC27 records.  | Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required. | |
