Status Rare. No recent records in Norfolk. Predominantly a moorland species that occurs most commonly in the north and west of Britain.
Old 1980s records from Caston and Hockwold and unconfirmed records from Dersingham bog (2003), Barnham Broom (2004) and Strumpshaw (2006).
Larvae was listed during Lunar Yellow Underwing larval surveys near Santon Downham in 2009 and 2010 (G M Haggett.)
