Immigrant and recent resident.
Coastal habitats, heathland, fens, woodland, scrub and gardens.
Round pure white mark on forewing characteristic.

Since 2000 this species has established itself as resident in Norfolk, with only 4 records in 2000, twenty years later we recorded over 2000, and it continues to increase with nearly 4000 in 2021!
