Status Extinct in the British Isles. This day-flying moth was last recorded in Essex, 1914. Formerly known from Stowmarket in Suffolk and elsewhere in East Anglia. (also known from northern-central Scotland)
Eight specimens in collections at the BMNH are labelled "Norfolk Harwood 16/5/95" This likely refers to Mr W. H. Harwood from Essex 1840 - 1917, professional entomologist, and dealer in natural history specimens. No listing for this species was made by Barrett in Victorian County History. The source of these 1895 specimens, or even if genuinely from Norfolk, is open to conjecture.
