Status Much rarer than Treble-bar.
Lesser Treble-bar is usually slightly smaller, with less intense dark cross-bands. The most reliable way to separate the two species is by looking at the tip of the abdomen.
Treble-bar Male has a straighter, more pointed abdomen tip. Female showing a distinctive tubular shape to the terminal segment of the abdomen.
Lesser Treble-bar Male abdomen is shorter and blunter, with slightly curved claspers. Female abdomen blunt. This is less obvious and care should be taken.
