Hedgerows or sunny woodland edges with abundant Barberry. It is now believed to be limited to a few small sites, mainly in Wiltshire, with colonies also in Gloucestershire, Dorset and introduced colonies elsewhere. A colony has also recently been discovered in Oxfordshire.
