A very local species, occurring in only one or two places in Wales, and occasionally in England.

Unconfirmed record from the 1970s.

Barrett [VCH 1901] Acidalia holosericata, Dup.
"A single specimen of this very local species was taken some years ago by the Rev. H. Williams near Thetford; the presence here of this one specimen seems inexplicable, except on the supposition that others are sometimes mistaken for the preceding species"
