Status
Scarce.
Chalk grassland species, easily flushed by day, also comes to light at night in small numbers.
Remnant population found at only one site in West Norfolk, where it is well recorded annually.

In May 2013, found at a second Norfolk site in VC27 at Alderford Common (M. Casey, 31/05/13) but no further records.

Single specimens recorded to light traps at Paston in 2020 (L. Nicholson) and Ormesby in 2023 (K. Harper) - Origin unknown!

Discovered at original West Norfolk site by Mr. E.A. Atmore in 1914, having previously been listed at Merton and Wood Dalling.

Believed locally extinct in Suffolk, only found locally in the south-east of England.

Verification Grade Comment: Grade 3 if away from known colony.
