Serious pest of Peach in many countries, G. molesta is sometimes imported as larvae with fruit into the British Isles.
New Norfolk record in 2004, bred by Andy Beaumont from a Peach.

Historical maps show VC28 distribution, but with no further info.
Recorded at Munford VC28 in 2023, attracted to the VIT lure (intended for Palpita vitrealis). (O. Richings, 23/08/23, Gen. Det. Male)
