Norfolk status
Very rare immigrant.

Occurring in southern Europe and Africa, it has two generations, flying in May and June and again in July and August, and is attracted to light.
All records have been from southern England, mostly in August - September. A peak season occurred in 2006 when 12 specimens were recorded.

Please note very similar European species, not yet recorded in the UK Dysgonia torrida. The central pale band across the forewing of Passenger Dysgonia algira has a distinct change in direction (is angled) on the basal (inner edge) of this band, while on D. torrida it is a much smoother curve, being much straighter.
