Norfolk status Scarce immigrant. Recorded mainly Aug - Oct.

First record from Norfolk in 1988 when a larva was found on an exotic orchid given to a patient at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. The specimen was bred out by G. Haggett and produced a female moth on the 12th March 1988. The specimen was determined by Dr I. Kitching (BMNH) as an unusual form of Chrysodeixis chalcites. (see article below)
