Norfolk status Scarce. Reedbeds, fens, marshes, riversides, estuaries and reedy margins of ponds and lakes.
Recorded in vey few locations in Norfolk, primarily the Holme/Titchwell area of north-west Norfolk on the coast. Rather surprisingly, very few East Norfolk records and only a few records from the Broads, which include Filby and Hickling.

The larvae feed on Common Reed, with only occasional records away from this habitat.
