Norfolk status
Increasingly common.
Formerly Nationally Scarce and localised to coastal areas, it is now fairly widespread and frequently recorded in recent years.

The species appears to have colonised calcareous grassland sites and heathland sites containing good stocks of bramble.

Norfolk records show a small second generation in some years, late August-September, following a warm summer.

Recorded in 44 (59%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2024.
