Lime Hawk-moth

Norfolk status
Common and widespread.
Woodland and suburban habitats.
Distinctive large green and pink moth, with an equally common red-brown form with brick-red central markings (f. brunnea) also occurring.
Adult moths comes to light at night.

The larvae of Eyed Hawk-moth & Lime hawk-moth are very similar and both have a blue tail. However, warts on the anal flap of Lime hawk-moth are characteristic.
