Rare migrant species and recent UK colonist, first recorded in July 1981 at Orlestone Forest, Kent. Now also resident in parts of Surrey and West Sussex, with coastal immigration occurring in other counties.
Very similar to Willow Beauty, the wings are usually more heavily speckled and the feathered antennae of the male are broader.
