=Boudinotiana notha

Norfolk status
Scarce.
Occurring locally in the southern half of England.

Known from one site in Norfolk (confirmed in 2021, Phil Heath) Recent investigations by Phil have uncovered previously unknown reports of regular sightings at this site, possibly since the 1960s!

Identification can be made by differences in the male antennae, which are finely serrated in Orange Underwing and slightly feathered in Light Orange Underwing.
The underside of the hindwing of Orange Underwing shows an orange band that projects centrally into a dark outer band, often reaching outer margin. Light Orange Underwing shows a dark outer band that is is unbroken, and the central projection of the orange band is absent. (MBGBI Vol 7 part 2)
