Norfolk status
Scarce.
Very similar to Light Arches but generally darker.
Grassland on chalky and limestone soils.

Recorded primarily locally in Breckland, with occasional records from other locations (confirmation required).

Characteristic dark wedges on the outer edge of the forewing separate this species from Light Arches.

Please provide a photo if recorded away from the Brecks, as several records from East Norfolk have been proved to be misidentifications.

Recorded in 33 (45%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1873.
Last Recorded in 2024.
