A recent colonist, The first British records were in 2011 from Dartford, Kent. Now known from several counties where it is now resident, including neighbouring Suffolk and Cambs.

Overdue in Norfolk, the first record in 2024 at Weeting Heath NNR (J. Symonds, E. O'Hanlon, 30/11/24)

The moths emerge from October, with most records in November - February. The adult moths hibernate, emerging again in the spring.
