Norfolk status
Rare immigrant and resident in Scotland, North Wales and Northern England.

Most of the immigrant specimens are of the form f. cinerascens, an ash-grey form occurring in Germany.

Records of single adults from Norfolk at Holme in August 1975 (P. Clarke), Hickling in 1976 (T. Peet) and Docking in 1996 (R. Skeen). Also noted as one being taken from Norfolk during a large influx of 17 specimens taken in 1954. (R. F. Bretherton.)
