Widespread.
Adults seen occasionally from April to June in small numbers, with the main generation being from July to September.
Distinctive species with reddish-brown ground colour and bright red and black-dotted abdomen.
Occasionally they fly in sunshine.

First Recorded in 1834.
Last Recorded in 2024.
