Norfolk status
Much smaller than Elephant Hawk-moth with yellow rather than green markings.
Note the lack of stripe down centre of the abdomen.

Flies from dusk occasionally found by day.
The English name of this moth is derived from the caterpillar's fanciful resemblance to an elephant's trunk.
Grassland, heathland, vegetated shingle.
