Norfolk status
Rare migrant, possible future colonist in Norfolk.

Quite distinctive, with elongated discal spots.

First recorded in Guernsey (Channel Islands) in 1984, followed by Bishops Stortford, Herts in June 1989. It is now established and breeding along parts of the south coast of England.

The larvae feed on Tamarisk (Tamarix gallica) over-wintering as a pupa.

The first Norfolk record was only recently discovered (Ian Roberts, 2024) from a photo hiding on the norfolkmoths website dated July 2022, Stoke Holy Cross (Dave Jones, 20/07/2022)

New to Suffolk also in July 2022, when several presumed immigrant examples where recorded along the coast.
