Norfolk status Rare, Uncertain. A very local species restricted to southern England and Wales in woodland and hedgerows. Adult moths fly from dusk and come to light.
Characteristic two "teeth" on the dark central band projecting into the white postmedian area.
Old Norfolk records at Merton, Aldeby, Cawston and Ketteringham [VCH 1901]
Three specimens from Norfolk in 2000, recorded to MV light at Edgefield (A. Harrap) thought at the time to be a sign of a resident colony, unfortunately there where no further records.
