Norfolk status
Scarce Norfolk resident.
The Breckland district on the Norfolk/Suffolk border are thought to be one of the main breeding areas for this species in Britain. Noted occasionally as a migrant.
Occurs on heathland and grassland, scrub, vegetated shingle in heathy rides and other open places.

The larval foodplant is unknown in the wild. Reared in captivity on Dandelion, Knotgrass, Field Bindweed, various legumes, trefoils and Black Medick.

Monitored annually by Norfolk Moth Survey.

Recorded in 40 (54%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1871.
