Found in August 1995 in shipment of timber from Brazil to a wine rack making company in Great Ryburgh, Norfolk.

Hostplants include Luehea divaricata- a species of tree native to the cerrado area of Brazil and Urena sinuata - A weed of tropical and subtropical areas.
