Common.

One of the less well marked Caloptilia and very similar to some forms of C. betulicola, dissection is then necessary for identification.

Possibly triple brooded, hibernates, and can be found throughout the year.

Leaf-mine: May, July.
Larvae feed at first in a mine, and later in a folded or rolled leaf of Alder.

Last Recorded in 2023.
